Quilty Inspiration: 100 Years of Colour by Katie Greenwood

As part of my travels in the UK, we met with some great friends at Saltaire in West Yorkshire. Unbelievably, I grew up not very far away but had never been. It’s a beautiful place, dominated by Salt’s Mill, where we soaked up homewares and books books books. There is a whole section designated to design and art books, where I could have spent the entire afternoon had I not really wanted to catch up with my friends!

I found this little gem which caught my eye and needed to come home with me. I do love good colour palette inspiration!

It is an absolute gem and I highly recommend for anyone interested in how colour trends changed over the 20th century. It is also a great resource for colour palette inspiration, with selections from all over the world and RBG and CMYK references for each of the colours.

A few examples:

I’ve googled and it’s available on Book Depository here,Β Amazon hereΒ and a more detailed review isΒ here.
