It’s started! The 1930’s Farmer’s Wife sewalong is hosted by the lovely Angie at Gnomeangel with a heap of other fabulous bloggers posting tutorials as we all see the 99 (or however many you like) blocks detailed in Laurie Aaron Hird’s book. The Facebook group is huge and it is such fun to see all the blocks popping up in my news feed. Here’s how I have started:
I’m using Bonnie & Camille fabrics (mostly their Hello Darling and Scrumptious lines) and have opted to hand-piece the blocks. I’m definitely feeling the love for the simple pleasures of hand-sewing at the moment. It is really helping me calm down in the busy-ness of our family life. Lots of fun to be had with this!
